🚴‍♂️ One month ago, Navajo Nation Council Delegate Dr. Andy Nez and around 40 of his constituents embarked on a remarkable 15-mile bike ride from Fort Defiance Chapter to Sawmill Chapter via the beautiful Blue Canyon Road.

Representing Fort Defiance, Sawmill, Crystal, and Red Lake, Dr. Nez highlighted the blend of tradition and modernity by swapping horses for bikes, although he did travel on horseback for several summer session trail rides. The goal for this year was to traverse rural communities, ensuring everyone, including those in remote areas, could participate in the festivities often held nearer to towns. The ride, named "K'emmunity," reflects our relationship with all living beings and our community – a play on words that perfectly captures the spirit of K'é.
