25th Navajo Nation Council Delegate Vince James - 2024 Summer Sessions Trail Ride

A few weeks ago, 25th Navajo Nation Delegate Vince James concluded his 2024 Summer Session Trail Ride. Starting at the Jeddito Chapter, his horse took him through Ganado Chapter, Summit, the Window Rock Fairgrounds, and finally into the Council Chambers. Delegate James, who represents Kinlichee, Ganado, Cornfields, Steamboat, and Jeddito, shared that he is starting day two of his summer sessions trail ride to keep the legacy alive. He spoke about how previous leaders used to ride their horses with resolutions from the chapters and the community, addressing the needs at the local level. In the same spirit, Delegate James is continuing this tradition, highlighting how the Navajo Nation has developed into what it is today. He expressed his gratitude to Mr. Larry Noble and the many others who started the trail ride tradition, particularly acknowledging their representation of the Steamboat Chapter.
